Rideau Street at corner Mackenzie Bridge Sunday night current update 10h pm February 21st 2022. Three days after start of dismantle of trucker’s rally dubbed “freedom convoy”, the streets of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada are now free of trucks that were occupying the city since Saturday January 29th 2022. Three weeks later and the protesters did not get what they wanted as the vaccine mandate still stands and the government did not budge. All in all, 389 of the demonstrators involved in the convoy have been charged criminally and 79 trucks and other vehicles were forcibly removed. On top of that, the truckers are facing a class action lawsuit of 10 million dollars from downtown residents for blocking the streets and honking their air horns among other things.
