I think as conditions improve, we should be prepared to relax some of these measures at the same rate that we put them in,” he said in an interview, responding to a question about whether masks should be dropped. Gottlieb also cited a recent decision by Connecticut state government to eliminate mandatory vaccines for state workers as a policy others should adopt in the near future as Covid-19 cases decline across the country. “The only way to get people to comply and adjust is to demonstrate the ability to revoke those (mandates) in the same manner that we put them in place,” Gottlieb added
